The Bearcat Track & Field team is headed to Athens for the 3A GHSA State Competition on Thursday, May 14! We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes for their hard work, dedication, and determination throughout the season.

The 2026 Teach in the Peach Future Educator Signing Day was a proud and unforgettable day at Bainbridge High School as four incredible seniors officially committed to careers dedicated to serving, leading, and impacting the lives of children and families.

Tuesday, we celebrated:

• Cassidy Marshburn – Georgia Southwestern State University, Early Childhood Education
• Carmen Avila – Georgia Southwestern State University, Early Childhood Education
• Aubree Gainous – Georgia Southern University, Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Sydni Avery – Valdosta State University, Communication Sciences and Disorders

These young women represent the heart of what it means to be a Bearcat. Their compassion, leadership, work ethic, and passion for working with children will leave a lasting impact on countless lives in the years ahead.

At Bainbridge High School, we are proud to be growing the next generation of educators right here in our own classrooms. Watching these students commit to careers centered around serving others is a powerful reminder of the difference our future teachers will make in schools and communities for years to come.

And one day, classrooms across Georgia will be better because these young women chose to answer the call to teach.

Bearcat Broadcasting students recently visited Jones Wheat Primary School to photograph kindergarten graduation portraits. Now, our student photographers and editors are hard at work polishing each photo before they are delivered to kindergarten teachers in the coming days. We’re proud to see Bearcat Broadcasting students gaining real-world media experience while helping create lasting memories for these young graduates!

Students in Mrs. McDonald's Environmental Science classes designed, constructed, and tested structures that used wind and solar energy to power LED bulbs.

Students in Mrs. McDonald's Environmental Science and Mrs. Sielbel's classes used bubbles to model different population survivorship curves.

Mrs. McDonald's Environmental Science classes modeled the concept of 'tragedy of the commons" using crackers to illustrate what happens when common areas aren't protected by everyone.
